Bike Polo Championships - NAHBPC

The weather was perfect for the NAHBPC in Madison, WI this weekend. I had the chance to watch the action first hand, and let me say their was some serious talent. A quick glance around the parking lot gave a clear impression about how dedicated these teams really are. License plates from Arizona, Colorado, and Missouri were mixed in with those from our neighbors in Indiana, Illinois and Minnesota. Call me biased, but I was routing for our hometown crew from the Milwaukee Bike Polo Club. With over 90 teams and matches being held back to back on 6 courts it was hard to pick which court to watch. Trek Bicycles was on hand with repair stands and refreshments and Eightinch was representing with prizes, including their golden mallet. Congratulations to all the teams that competed and to the organizers for throwing a great event. Can't wait to watch this grow next year!
