Made out of a high impact nylon and featuring smooth running sealed bearings, the Mesa thin platform pedal is an affordable alternative to expensive alloy platform pedals. While we originally designed the Mesa pedal for our core urban cycling customer, riders of all kinds have embraced the Mesa pedal because if it's durability, thin bodied construction and affordable price.

Bought the Mesa pedal for daily short commuting, mostly on flat road. Big platform, slim profile, great power transfer, smooth ride. This is the best platform pedal I’ve used without getting into more expensive metal pedals. I’m not sure how the plastic pins will hold up after a year or two, but they grip really well, even without straps, especially compared to stock platform pedals. If you plan on doing lots of off-road riding and hitting you pedals on stuff I’d go with at least the metal pin Mesa. For city riding, and not worring about damaging nice shoes, these are sweet!
I love the mesa pedals, they have a great platform, awesome pins, and buttery smooth bearings.
I work as a Chicago bike messenger and decided to purchase these on a whim. Having been riding on a pair of All City Wallner Pro pedals, the bar was set pretty high and I had some serious doubts about switching to a new set, even after my order had arrived. However, I decided to take a dive and give these a go. The Mesa's are hands down my favorite pedals and the comfort level for these is out of hand. Imagine if you will, that your pedals have suddenly turned into clouds...well, that's the feeling you'll get if you ride around with these pedals. Riding without foot retention, I was concerned about my feet slipping off the platforms. However, the grip on these things is superb, and if taken care of properly, I can only imagine how long they will last. And unlike the All City Wallner Pro's, these pedals do not tear up your soles. Last but not least, I have some monster feet and wear a size 11.5/12. Instead of having a ton of foot overhang, these pedals cover a large portion of my footprint, so I'm able to ride harder without having to do much thinking. Customer service is gnarly as usual with Fyxation, and it's rad to see they're still holding it down. My order was placed on a Monday afternoon, and my goods were received on a Thursday. 10/10. Will definitely purchase again. Thanks Fyxation!
Had these on all my mountain bikes for 4 years now. Durable. Plenty of grip with minimalist running shoes. Plastic pins don't turn your shins into hamburger like metal ones.
I have had these pedals for 1 year now and am looking for a new pair of pedals. The weight is impressive, and the bearings haven't failed. However the nylon pins are worn out and smoothing out from pedal strikes. I'm not an overly aggressive rider and have only been out maybe 50 times over the past year. Also my feet do tend to slip during every ride. The only reason I'm not rating this a 1 star is because how light they are.
