Yuba Spicy Curry Review: The e-Bike With A Spicy Kick!

Cargo bikes are becoming ever more popular among the cycling community in both urban and suburban areas. From avid cyclists to riders just getting into the sport, cargo bikes have become a new and unique way to enjoy riding and are truly allowing people to become "car free". Cruising through the streets of our home city Milwaukee you will see everything from messengers riding a Bullitt cargo bike full of beer to a mom hauling around two kids on an Extracycle...

New Eastsides Coming In Soon!

The Eastside just turned 2 and to celebrate we're introducing 4 new models that come with some major upgrades. When we first introduced the Eastside it was our answer to the cheap fixies that were flooding the market. Unfortunately the number of cheap fixies on the roads continues to explode and so does the number of companies selling them. There is nothing wrong with people buying bikes that they can afford but for us, anything that has the Fyxation name on it has to be a quality product that rides and looks great and that is why we are so proud of the Eastside...

Riverwest 24 2015

The dust has finally settled from the craziest 72 hours in the history of Fyxation and our blog needs an update. From Friday to Sunday we competed in a 24 hour race named the Riverwest 24, manned the pedal powered stage at the Brady Street Festival here in Milwaukee, sold leather goods at the Milwaukee Brewfest and hosted the second annual Fyxation Open fixed gear street crit in sunny Chicago! All while keeping our new shop open and trying to run our business. What were we thinking?

The weekend started off with the Riverwest 24 hour race and man are we stoked to be in our new neighborhood. For those of you not from Milwaukee, Riverwest...

Fyxation Open Fixed Gear Street Crit | 2015 Race Recap

The Windy City once again opened it's arms to welcome the Fyxation Open fixed gear street crit last Sunday! As one of the featured events of the SRAM Chicago Criterium and the last stage of the Intelligentsia Cup, the Fyxation Open drew big crowds and larger rider fields than the inaugural event that we hosted last year.

Fixed gear criterium races have exploded in popularity over the last few years with the success of the Red Hook Crit which is now hosted in New York, Barcelona and London and the Wolfpack Hustle race series which takes place in Los Angeles...

Fondation La Force: Iron Man on a Fyxation Eastside

We recently came across a few pictures on Facebook from a team of riders from Canada that go by the name Fondation la Force. It turns out these three machines are iron man athletes and their organization raises money to help fight Muscular Dystrophy. Not like competing in an iron man is hard enough, turns out they're doing this all on single speed Eastsides!  We've learned from one of the members that they recently competed in a half iron man and they'll be doing a full iron man in August! We love seeing stuff like this and are honored that our frames could help this team of riders out on their journey... Follow the link above for more images

Ride Scoozy Electric Bikes

A few months back when I was at the Detroit Bike Expo, I had the chance to meet Jason from a new electric bike company called Ride Scoozy. Electric bikes are hugely popular overseas and are really starting to gain traction here in the US. There's a lot of drama behind e-bikes right now because there are purists that call them mopeds and a lot people and trail managers that aren't sure what type of access e-bikes should have on both on and off road bike trails. I can see the point in both sides of the argument but right now it's a pretty hot topic.

Ride Scoozy is based out of Ann Arbor, MI and they make an e-bike that is affordable, fun to ride, easy to use and durable...
