Handsome Cycles Mud Butler Fenders

We recently had the opportunity to build up a custom bike for our friends here in Milwaukee at Colectivo Coffee. We covered the full build in an earlier blog post that you can read here....  For the build we used our Quiver frameset and mostly Fyxation parts but we did reach out to another local company here in the Midwest for one of the finishing touches - the Handsome Cycles Mud Butler Fender.  Handsome Cycles is a small rider owned bike...

What's Old is New: VintageTrek 937 Conversion

When it comes to building your bicycle, it's a personal matter. Getting color, spec and every detail just right is so important, that's why when we were approached by Dan to assist with his vintage Trek conversion we were excited. At Fyxation we're known for customizing our own builds to suit riders needs, so to get the chance to work on a frame with a great history and outfit it with full Fyxation kit couldn't be passed up....

Tales From the Crit Part II: Race Recap

OK so the dust has finally settled and we're ready to give our full race recap of the inaugural Fyxation Open fixed gear street crit that took place this last weekend in Chicago, IL.  Before we get too deep into the details, we wanted to send out a quick thanks to the guys over at the Prairie State Cycling Series for putting on a great event and for taking a chance and letting us host a fixed gear street crit on the Chicago Criterium course.  There was a lot of behind the scenes planning to pull this off...

Colectivo Coffee Custom Bicycle

For those of lucky enough to live here in Milwaukee (no seriously) there is one local business that I feel pretty much defines the cool things that are happening here in this great city.  Colectivo Coffee started off in 1993 as what was then known as Alterra Coffee.  Throughout the years they slowly expanded their presence here in Milwaukee with a combination of hard work, great coffee and super cool coffee shops that were located in the best spots around town.  This is pretty impressive...

Fast, Fun, Affordable...Meet The Pixel!

It's been almost a year since we launched our first bike model, the Eastside, and it's been pretty wild ride.  The Eastside was introduced as a high quality option for riders that wanted a quality build single speed and didn't simply want to settle for the cheap bikes that were flooding the market.  Designed here in Milwaukee and made in Taiwan, the Eastside features our 4130 chromoly frameset and our high end parts and accessories.  Fast forward to today and the Eastside is still selling strong and is now available in Australia, Japan, Europe, Canada and the US.

Following in the footsteps of the Eastside, we are pleased to introduce our newest model for 2014, the Fyxation Pixel. Borrowing from the same geometry as the Eastside and retailing for only $459, the Pixel is a great bike and an even better value. Built as a single speed with a flip flop hub the Pixel features an upright comfortable design, quality made parts and a stunning paint job that's sure to turn heads. The Pixel is available in 2 colors - graphite and glacier blue, and in 4 sizes - 49cm, 52cm, 55cm and 58cm.  They're in stock now at stocking Fyxation dealers.
