From 45NRTH

The evolution continues with the industry-leading Vanhelga. Designed for trail riding in loose snow, Vanhelga brings traction technology to an entirely new level. Dual compound rubber lengthens tread life in the center of the tire while enhancing cornering control on the sides. Triple-siped transition and side lugs boost traction. In addition to these technological advancements, Vanhelga’s deep and open tread pattern sheds snow and tracks flawlessly when the trail becomes soft and sloppy.

Great tire on packed and icy trails

I bought one for my front wheel, 27.5x4.0, 120tpi. Took it out on a local trail in MN and this tire is simply awesome. Lots of grip even on ice. You don't really need studded tire if you're using the Vanhelga unless the trail is covered will all ice. Very happy with the tire and decided to use one for the rear also. Very highly recommended.
