There are a lot of things that we love about living here in Milwaukee and one of our favorites is the local radio station that you'll hear whenever you come into our shop here in Riverwest, 88Nine Radio Milwaukee.  Radio Milwaukee is a 501(c)3 non-profit local radio station that is fully supported by members, donors, underwriters and volunteers.  In the ever static world of corporate radio stations, 88Nine focuses on local Milwaukee music and music from smaller bands all over the US and world that you rarely hear on the big national radio stations. They have great DJ's, excellent new music and even have a live stream on their website so you can listen to their music whenever and wherever you are.

Being a non-profit radio station, 88Nine needs to continually raise money and every year they host a Spring Fund Drive which is a great way for listeners and local businesses to help support the station. We always contribute something to the Fund Drive and this year we got together with the crew from 88Nine and put together a little something special for their listeners.

This custom Eastside is currently on display 88Nine's Walker's Point studio and is going to be given away during the Spring Fund Drive to one lucky listener. For this custom build we wanted to incorporate as much of Radio Milwaukee's branding as possible without the bike looking like a billboard. This copper Eastside features all of our popular parts and is finished off with our Alterra Cafe bars which give it a nice upright riding position.

Radio Milwaukee is housed in an amazing building in the ever growing Walker's Point neighborhood here in Milwaukee. It's an industrial space that features a stage where local bands and bands touring through Milwaukee come and play small sets to a very intimate crowd. They let us shoot some photographs of the bike at their studio and we even got to access their amazing roof deck that features a garden and some amazing rusted corrugated metal features that match perfectly with the copper color of this custom Eastside.
