Bicycle Blog

We've just received a huge shipment of fixed gear bikes and they are currently in stock in all sizes and colors. We normally wouldn't post an update about getting a shipment of fixies here in our warehouse but with the way the bicycle supply chain is this year, it's cause for celebration. The fixed gears that we got in include our hi tensile steel Pixel and our 4130 chromoly Eastside...

It's been a while since we posted an update on our blog and we thought we'd dust things off with a quick update about the supply chain mess that everyone is hearing about...

We've been working on these bad boys for a while and they are finally ready. Our new Matador track cranksets are in stock. The number of options for high quality track cranks has really dropped the last few years as larger players like SRAM have discontinued some popular options...

Our Quiver X frames have finally landed and the custom builds have already begun. We decided to launch the Quiver X as a frameset only because it is such a versatile platform for custom builds. With that said, we have 2 stock bike options that we put on our website for those of you that would prefer to have your Quiver X arrive ready to ride...

2020 has been a wild year for many obvious reasons. While many people are sheltering in place and unfortunately, many are sick or worse, 2020 started out for Fyxation with production delays in China. We always order our Spring bikes at the end of the year and expect them to arrive in February/March. Unfortunately, our factory was shut down from January 1st - March 15th due to local restrictions caused by COVID. Once the factories got up and running it took a long time for staff to come back to work and for production to fully ramp back up. Well we're happy to report that production is cranking again and our new bikes are on the way. They are late, but still coming!

We just finished up the 4th annual Tour de Chequamegon bike packing trip in Northern Wisconsin and we wanted to put a little recap up here on our site. This trip is one of the highlights of our year and always makes us appreciate what we do here at Fyxation.  Taking 40 people out into the north woods of Wisconsin to ride bikes and camp is a ton of work, but is extremely satisfying for our whole crew and while we're officially on the clock, it doesn't feel like work to us...

5 years ago we partnered with the Intelligentsia Cup to bring fixed gear street criteriums to the Midwest when we hosted the inaugural Fyxation Open in Chicago. The Fyxation Open turned 5 in 2018 and this year we decided to pass the baton to our friends over at Chrome Industries. Hosting and planning an event like the Fyxation Open takes a ton of work and we felt that bringing in some fresh stoke to the event would help keep this great race going in the future and Chrome, having a retail hub in Chicago, was the perfect company to hand the reins to...

It's hard to believe it but Fyxation just turned 10. We've been so slammed with summer and getting our 2020 line of bikes and gear ready that we haven't really taken time out to celebrate this milestone, but it's better late than never...
