Specialized Globe Roll 1 Drop

I just got forwarded a link to the new Specialized Globe Roll Drop 1. The Globe Roll is their version of a versatile urban bike that can be purchased as a single speed, 8 speed internal with belt drive, 8 speed geared with derailleur or as a step through bike. I like the idea of it and the Globe Roll Drop 1 is actually a pretty clean looking bike, but at $660 for their fixed gear build it's a bit expensive.

More info below:

The Roll 1 Drop is the ultimate expression of simple speed. A single fixed or freewheel gear, classic drop bars and a stylin' Cr-Mo/steel frame and fork gives you everything you need to motor around town as fast as you can, and nothing you don't.

- Well-built, classic Cr-Mo singlespeed frame with horizontal dropouts is simple, smooth, and durable
- Extremely durable uni-crown Cr-Mo fork with straight blades and custom cast dropouts
- Strong, eye-catching deep V 700c rims and bolt-on, high-flange front and rear hubs complement the Roll's durable urban design
- Fixed or freewheel? You decide with this flip-flop, high-flange 32-hole hub
- Forged alloy 42T track-style singlespeed crankset with alloy ring is tough and light
- Narrow alloy drop bars are comfortable to ride on top or in the drops, so you can cruise or mash
- Forged alloy 42T track-style singlespeed crankset with alloy ring is tough and light
