3.75 Great traction, but the rubber is soft so they lose studs easily

I very much like the traction performance of my 29x2.6 tires on ice and snow, they are very sure-footed. However, while I've only been riding on trails, they are rapidly losing studs on rocks and snow-free areas, which is a disappointment. A couple weeks of use and I've lost nearly a dozen studs. I have some Bontrager 27.5x4.5 studded snow tires on my newer Fatty and they haven't lost any studs in 3 winters of pretty heavy use. I lost lots of studs on my older Fatty with 45NRTH 26x4.5 snows, so it must be a characteristic... While the supple rubber is grippy, maybe 45NRTH could look at stiffening their rubber a bit so they don't shed studs. If you buy these, you will want to buy some studs and an installation tool

    Great winter tire for CO

So far this has been a great tire in soft snow up to 6 inches and ice in CO and studs are holding in place for now. I'm using this on the front only and plenty of space for my Vassago rigid fork. I wonder if it will fit the rear but will wait until I get paid again for a second one LOL. The only con is cost they are not cheap, they cost more car tires!

    Couldn’t be happier

Equipped on a Pivot Shuttle Ebike. Rode on 8ft wide pure sheet ice trail. Squirmed a little over ridges from previous bike tracks but no issues even at 18MPH downhill and around sweeping corners. Just ran today on extremely technical single track at an old clay hills strip mine with the bike in boost mode the entire time on about 50% sheet ice. Lost a few studs from tire lockup but never went down over 13.5 miles of riding. I strongly recommend these tires.

    3" studded tires rock!

Wow! I ride a 3" Rhyme fattie by Specialized all year, but had some troubles in the ice and snow keeping up with my husband who rides a 5" tire. Since I did not want to buy another bike, I decided to try these he can't keep up with me! I'm sure I will still be compromised in deep snow, but this is a great extension of my ability to ride in most winter conditions of New England. I would get these for his bike, but they are twice as expensive! Anyway, I highly recommend them!
