Milwaukee may be best know for it's beer, but after visiting our city the vast Milwaukee County Park system stays etched in most peoples minds. Milwaukee's reputation in brewing stems from a long German heritage in the city and in recent years the County Parks have embraced the German beer garden tradition by adding beer gardens to several parks. We now are fortunate enough to have five permanent beer gardens and thirteen travelling beer gardens that pop up in parks through Milwaukee....

In celebration of the European Spring Classics, Fyxation and the Wisconsin Bike Fed are teaming up for a Spring Classics group ride from Fyxation HQ to Belgium WI. The ride is part of a multi-ride series held by the Bike Fed to celebrate local shops, great local rides and the European Spring Classics. Presented by the Lowlands Group, the Spring Classic rides leave from local Wiscsonsin bike shops and take you to Belgium, Paris, Luxembourg, Rome, Denmark and Holland WI....

I just returned to the USA from a trip to China and Taiwan and normally when I get back from a trip like this I post a quick recap about things seen during our travels. This blog post however will be a little bit different and for those in a hurry, unfortunately a bit more wordy as I've had an eye opening view into a trend that I feel is about to transform the bike industry here in the USA. Dockless bike share systems are coming to a city near you...

The 2017 North American Handmade Bike Show (NAHBS) just wrapped up in Salt Lake City, UT and surprisingly this was our first year ever going to the show. Unlike Interbike, NAHBS is a roaming show and is in a different city every year. We've always wanted to attend but never really pulled the trigger.  This year was different however because part of the Fyxation crew is located about 20 minutes from the show venue so we had a home base and a place to crash and decided to become an exhibitor for the first time...

Last weekend we had the opportunity to take part in and sponsor the first event of the Capitol Goldsprint Series held by Motorless Motion Bicycles in Madison, WI. If you’ve never heard of Gold Sprints it’s a pretty simple format: Two bikes, Fyxation Eastsides for this event, are set up side by side with the rear wheel on rollers and the fork locked down to the frame of the rollers...

On Thursday March 2nd, 2017 Fyxation will be hosting the first ever PeopleforBikes Draft Meetup here in Milwaukee. Join us for a fast-paced hour of ideas, entrepreneurs and bikes, capturing some of the exciting things happening for Milwaukee Bikes, Biz & Beer...

We just got back from the 2017 CABDA EXPO in St. Charles, IL and  we couldn't have had a better time at a bicycle trade show.  This is the third year in a row that Fyxation has exhibited at CABDA and every year it gets a little bigger and a little better.

Unlike Interbike, the show is held at a very slow time of year for most bike shops...

We're pleased to announced our latest custom bicycle project; designed around the new Milwaukee flag. Called “Sunrise Over the Lake” and designed by Robert Lenz, the new flag is the result of a city-wide design initiative. The purpose of which was to inspire Milwaukeeans to design a new symbol. A symbol that changes the narrative of Milwaukee. The strength of “Sunrise Over the Lake” is that it looks forward to a new day; symbolized by the sun rising over Lake Michigan.
