When we opened our flagship retail store here in Milwaukee our goal was to give our customers a chance to see Fyxation products up close and really get to learn about our process and company, and not just sell bikes and gear. With that said, people that visit our Milwaukee bike shop can purchase our full range of products and additional products from other companies in the bike industry that we respect and that we feel are under represented by the big box bike shops here in Milwaukee. San Francisco based Faraday Bicycles is one such company....
Our custom bike program has been around for a few years now but this summer we've raised the bar in terms of design and styling and a Fyxation custom corporate bike has become a sought after project. From the drop bar singlespeed we just introduced with Zipcar to the 1 year anniversary bikes we rust rolled out for Goose Island Brewery, our custom bikes have been on point.
We were recently contacted by local restauranteur, The Lowlands Group, to work with their design team on a custom bike for one of their newest restaurant locations. The Lowlands Group runs a series of European style cafes, restaurants and bars here in Wisconsin. If you're not from the Milwaukee area you're definitely missing out...

This weekend we were honored to bring the exciting sport of fixed gear criterium racing back to the streets of Chicago by partnering with xXx Racing and the Lincoln Park Criterium for the Prologue of the Fyxation Open Omnium. The Fyxation Open is in it's third year and like the previous years, the level of riders continues to improve. Fixed gear crit racing continues to gain in popularity and these fast paced events are as much fun for the spectators as they are the riders...

Fixed gear crit racing season has officially started and our goal is to bring this exciting new race format here to the Midwest. Building off of the success of the Fyxation Open that we've held in Chicago the last 2 years, the Fyxation Open is now a race series with 4 exciting events being held in Chicago and Milwaukee. To kick things off, we've partnered with the Lincoln Park Crit and we'll be hosting a prologue to the Fyxation Open on April 30th on the shore of Lake Michigan right in the heart of Chicago....
The forecast was not very encouraging for our third Spring Classic’s Ride from Fyxation to Belgium on Sunday. Sunshine and and a record high of 70 sounded like decidedly non-Belgian weather. On our first ride from Wheel & Sprocket to Paris it was 35 degrees and rained much of the 90 mile ride. It was 27 degrees when we left Ben’s Cycle for Rome a week later. Rides earned full Flanders Points for every mile on those tests of early endurance. I warned the riders that we might not get any points this week, but boy was I wrong.
